Coaching Services

Mending Hearts is excited to announce that we have openings in our Family & Parent Coaching Program based on Parent-Child Care (PC-Care), a parenting protocol created at UC Davis Children's Hospital for families with children ages 1-12.

Pediatrician mets with parent and child to discuss a behavior plan.

Families who have children formerly placed in foster care, currently live with a relative or guardian, or who live in a low income and rural area can apply to receive these coaching services for FREE from one of the doctors, therapists, or para-professional trainees in our International PC-Care Training and Certification Program.

Families and coaches together review and choose from more than 20 different parenting strategies to help children process emotions and manage behaviors. As a team they co-create a parenting plan based on the strengths, culture, and values of the family.
