Mending Hearts is excited to announce that we have openings in our Family & Parent Coaching Program based on Parent-Child Care (PC-Care), a parenting protocol created at UC Davis Children's Hospital for families with children ages 1-12.
Families who have children formerly placed in foster care, currently live with a relative or guardian, or who live in a low income and rural area can apply to receive these coaching services for FREE from one of the doctors, therapists, or para-professional trainees in our International PC-Care Training and Certification Program.
Families and coaches together review and choose from more than 20 different parenting strategies to help children process emotions and manage behaviors. As a team they co-create a parenting plan based on the strengths, culture, and values of the family. Next openings are available for Fall 2025.

Those who work with families, such as doctors, therapists, teachers and behavioral specialists, as well as those who have received PC-Care with us are eligible to join our training program and become certified in the Parent-Child Care Parenting Protocol (PC-Care).
Certificates from UC Davis Children's Hospital are available upon completion of training with Mending Hearts. Scholarships and discounts are available.
